Summer '17 Moodboard

How summer feels

wispy baby hairs and full curls, flushed soft skin gleaming from humidity, kisses on each cheek, bright food cooked the night before spread over two tables, prayers under swaying willow trees, mango chutney with cilantro, sweet syrupy drink made from red hibiscus flowers, inviting strangers to eat, groups of girls like wild strawberries who run through the water with deep laughs and determined eyes, hiding behind my dad’s shoulder listening to the men talk about coastguards and cocaine, helping the children catch tadpoles, falling asleep on the riverbank in the shade, the low breeze that makes leaves glimmer, the few stray drops of cool rain on the skin–sweeter than any kisses --- {find quote here}

Summer's Red Hot

 

             

Its hot, humid and sticky outside.

For days like this I just throw on a dress and I'm out the door.

Its quick, easy and allows me to be comfortable in the heat. What I love most about this dress is the vibrant red color and the fringe. It turns this simple dress into something fun and unique.

Hey guys, so I'm back with another essential post. Check out my last one [HERE]. "The Essentials" will be a series of posts that highlight my essential or staple pieces in my wardrobe. These pieces are timeless, classics that can be worn any season. They are perfect for building up your wardrobe, creating a capsule wardrobe, and its even a great place to start when trying to figure out your own style. 

The white button up shirt is a very versatile piece, It literally can be paired with anything. It also comes in variation, whether its long sleeve, short sleeve, sleeveless, cotton or silk, this top is a must have in my closet. This also applies for a black button up, I always have these two pieces on hand.

A Minimal Monday

I love clean and simple outfits, especially for the warmer seasons. Today I'm feeling very chill and minimal with my look. Like they say less is more. Also while we are on the topic of minimalism I have recently been slowly but surely introducing it as lifestyle. I cant deal with the clutter and the unnecessary.
